Thanks to RC member BillFromGI I'm pleased to today present a current list of all Clear QAM digital cable channels that can be received on TWC's "Buffalo Suburban" cable system, which is supplied (at least) on Grand Island.
If you live in the area be sure to check it out to see what you could be watching for free!

Thanks to reader Mike Miles, we can now supply a list of free, unencrypted QAM digital channels that Cogeco cable subscribers in Ontario can receive on their QAM-enabled televisions. Compared to the essentially non-existant offerings that I get from Rogers Cable, this list is rather eye-opening. Check it out!

Our Toronto & Buffalo Area HDTV Chart has once again been updated with the latest details on local high definition television channels, including rumors of a new RTN affiliate in Buffalo, as well as what's going on with WNGS.
Additionally, some Canadian broadcasters are reportedly fighting against the forced digital transition, with CTV and CBC in particular threatening to shut down stations in smaller communities, claiming that 90% of Canadians already receive their television from cable or satellite sources.

I'm pleased to report that, as of this morning, I've finished entering into the database all files recently submitted by members. In total there's over 200 new database entries ready for download!
The file upload form has also been revamped, featuring a new look and offering clearer instructions on what information is needed and how to format it. So, if you've got a remote control-related file, please take the time to share with the rest of the community by sending it in! Right now we're especially interested in original universal remote control manuals, original device IR command/RS-232 protocol sheets, and device files (for any remote).

I'm pleased to report that I've finally caught up with all file area submissions - so if you've sent in a remote control-related file in the past while, it's now online and available for download.
In addition, there are two new sub-sections in the Other Files area, for device IR code sheets and device RS-232 protocol sheets. These are meant to collect and archive original IR & RS-232 command lists as supplied by the manufacturer, which can then be used (sometimes after a bit of decoding) with any remote control system. If the demand for this section grows, they will be given their own separate file area.
As always, please send in your remote control files to share with the community!
