RC News Story
URC has just announced today that their new RF lighting control system, developed in partnership with Lutron, can now be directly controlled by any of the company’s RF remotes, including old MX-3000 and MX-850 units. Previously, this capability had been announced only for the latest models such as the MX-6000, MX-980, MX-880, or only newer manufactured units of some other models including the MX-3000, MX-900 and MX-950.

There are three methods of programming URC remotes with these new RF commands:

  1. Download a prepared MXF file and drag-and-drop learned codes into any Complete Control computer-programmable RF remote.

  2. Use the built-in code database for newer computer programmable models including the MX-6000, MX-3000 Black, MX-980, MX-880, MX-810, MX-450 and KP-900, as well as MX-3000 and MX-900 units built after January 31 2008, and MX-950 units built after June 16, 2008.

  3. Teach standalone RF remotes, including the MX-350 and MX-650, from any other compatible remote set to broadcast the new codes as IR.

I have a Hampton-Bay ceiling fan with lighting and fan controls via RF remote control. Is there any way to use my Philips Pronto Pro TSU-6000 to control it? I would appreciate any suggestions or products that would make this work. Thank you, I appreciate all of your help so far.
